Killed my first archery buck with that exact shot placement two years ago. One lung and liver. Arrow looked like yours. It was an evening hunt, I left him overnight and found him dead in a river 100 yards away the next morning. That buck is dead.

I’m here and I’m heading in. Rain just stopped. I have a Sitka beanie on, so you all know what that means.

Good luck brett! Can’t wait to see a picture of you with that buck!!

Lost wifi at work and wouldn't connect, lost a lot of my post.

Was there any hair at site of impact that would confirm above the belly hair?

My arrow buried into the ground deep. Lost a lot of Intel. But some white hair.

Tracked another 30 yes. Looking for blood again. He is headed into a massive blowdown area and the creek

I’m set prolly gonna kill another doe tonight. No bucks on cam her yet.

Good luck Brett... an arrow does not pass throu where you describe with it dying stay motivated. Something I like to do is mark last blood and scan and walk / check places I think deer would go to die. How far have you been on the trail ?

On hands and knees picking up blood every 10 yds or so. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be.

Ran dogs this am with a group of guys. Never did it before and they talked me into going. We ended off with 2 bucks. It's def an adrenaline rush when you let them out and they pick up a scent and start howling towards the deer. Now I am back home contemplating an evening hunt.
