    Old homestead leading to some oaks. Not many dropping but good cover. No sign of other hunters.

    This public land thing is no joke, been out since 12 with the stand on my back after a fresh rain looking for sign and found nothing drove to a new area climbed up the first oak tree i could find and here i am. Saw another guy on the way in too. oh well. I'd it were easy it wouldn't be fun! No clue what im gonna do tomorrow though

    Just had a spot and stalk almost payoff while walking to my stand. Had a doe and doe fawn at about 55 but couldn’t make it happen. In stand now hoping this cold gets something to walk by tonight. Stay tuned

    This was a small secluded bean field but they lost it... Had very similar conditions to this last year on Nov. 1 and had a nice buck on this field. Obviously were a few weeks away from seeing that sort of movement. But I have a nice bedding area to my north.

    I think I’m gonna do something a little different tomorrow. Instead of going out in the morning, I’m going to sleep in and go out early afternoon. The getting up at 2:30 AM thing sucks. I’ll save that for the rut.

    NHRA is apparently "in town" this week. Can hear it 20 miles away...but only for a few seconds (BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR) every 10 minutes or so....
