    20181006_070952.jpg Youth shotgun season here in Illinois. My 10 year old decided to use the crossbow instead. No deer sightings yet, but we did see a booner coon lol.

    Were y’all headed? I’m looking forward to a truck nap ... parking was tight couldn’t find a good spot on the shoulder close to were I wanted to walk in. Ended squeezing walking down the road climbing the 301 embankment and skirting the highway until I hit the ridge top I needed to walk down ... it was fun

    I've been on stand since 45 minutes before daylight and haven't even seen a squirrel.

    Still, it beats sitting there in my temporary home staring at the walls.

    It'll happen eventually.
