Well hunting close to my gun club, there are 2 guys like 100 yards away making all kinds of racket, no clue what they're doing

If broad heads weren’t so expensive a squirrel would be dead. I’ve already had enough of them and the season just started.

43 degrees. Slight E/SE wind in my face. Light drizzle.

Doe in the neighbors field blew at me when I was first getting in. 200 yards away so not too worried.

Keep hearing something behind me blowing but can't see it and doesn't seem to be that close so don't know what's goin on. Maybe it'll come this way tho

If I was a deer I would want to be on my feet eating in this kind of weather. Just seems perfect.

It was a button buck. Got to 15 yards and then got kind of spooky. Bobbing his head a bit. Took a few more bites of beans and walked on his way. I love hunting from the ground.

I know. She was broadside and I thought I had it but was worried that she would take one more step and I would have had no shot due to little saplings being in the way. Won’t happen again. First deer usually gets an unexpected pass lol
