Last fall I packed all my clothes with me to bring to work because I was going to leave shortly after lunch to catch an afternoon hunt. Get to my spot and I forgot my jacket. Was late October and in the low 40's. Sucked it up and sat 3 hours in just a long sleeves shirt. Was not a very fun hunt.

I always perk up a bit when I here jays going off in the woods too. That and I've noticed squirrels will make noises at deer sometimes too.

Hmm. I would add, no socks and forgetting TP...that could get ugly quick.

I'd say cutting up your under wear would be in order at that point.

The last couple of years I have went hunting and rushed down at dark to go trick or treat with the wife and boys towards the end of their trick or treating.. this year I told the wife I would not go hunting and go with them when they go, so no hunting that eve for me.

And you will have the buck of a lifetime at the stand you would have hunted.

I wish. Trick or treating with a 3 year old is pretty fun too though.

The woods are loaded with leaves to use for that purpose, just don't use poison ivy!

I would thoroughly enjoy this aswell. I am about to be living in the woods aside from interviews etc. I really don’t plan to do anything else besides hunt starting sat lol

Snow flurries a week ago and now it's 65 degrees, muggy, and t-storms all day. Got to love MN weather.

45-50 degrees the next few days. Will be on the stand. Have seen so many deer so far in my few sits... Just need them to get in range. Maybe I will take a page from Joe's book and hit the ground tomorrow.
