Hard to believe November is only 23 days away.

Just hoping for a cool start to my vacation come November 3rd.

Liking my chances this year, not overhunting stands or burning myself out.

Probably get out for sure the 28th and 29th of this month.

I am trying the " nothing is going here update" and then a tall 8 pointer sneaks up behind me? I will let you know if it works in about 5 minutes!

Got off work. Ate supper and hit the woods. 83 degrees this late in the year is way too hot. Bring on some cooler weather. Sitting in the ground blind hoping something comes by to die. Good luck to all lucky enough to be hunting this evening.

Bumped a nice VT 8pt on the way in. Almost stepped on it. Ran 5 yds from me. Probs 100" 180lbs, 18-20" wide with. 3-4" tines. Very symmetrical. Not sure that I'd shoot him. It's big woods almost no one hunts it even in gun season. He will be very nice 4 1/2 year old next year.

I saw nothing. Not even a single squirrel. Just about what I expected this afternoon.

I have my son in the tree I shot my doe from last night. Every time I have been in here there have been about six does and fawns that come out and walk by it at about 20 yards. I'm hoping he gets his first tonight. Pretty chilly here with a cold northwest wind and temps aroun 44 degrees. Feel sorry for you guys back east who are sweating your buns off.

Yup pretty dead as far as deer activity goes. Like I said I didn’t expect much given the conditions but just being outdoors was alright by me. One positive was the skeeters weren’t bad at all
