Have 3-4" of rain coming over the next 4 days or so. Could help with leaf fall, but definitely not going to help with getting the crops out.

What Bear do you shoot? I have an Arena 30 & it’s absolute tack driver.

Called this little lady in tonight. She came from straight down wind and knew something wasn't right. Worked her way to about 20 yards before turning around. Could have shot her and 4 other does tonight. All were broadside inside of 30 with one at 15. Still holding out for the buck I missed earlier this year. He came out about 10 minutes after legal shooting light ended. If I would have been in the other stand or in the ground blind I would have had a shot.

Marines can sleep anywhere. I have found that riding in a loud Humvee is sometimes better than sleeping in my bed.

Nope, just a social doe bleat and a young buck grunt. I had assumed there were deer in the trees but hadn’t seen any yet so I gave a cold call. She actually was running toward me until she got to 35 yards. Then she slowed down and fed the rest of the way.

Finally light enough to pull out the phone, pretty windy out but feels good. Anybody else out this morning?

I'd mow a path. They will just notice an easier place to walk.

Good luck everyone, I won't be in a tree until Saturday, so I'm looking at the trend every few minutes to see if any one got anything !!!

Kind of a quiet morning, hooefully that mean arrows are flying and deer are dropping. Good luck everyone.

I'm out and ready to kill. Perfect breeze. Currently at 15 yards. [IMG]
