Ended up with about 3" of nice dry snow last night. Real pretty out with the sun shining. Saw 5 deer at the top of the hill SW of the house this morning. Acting alerted, then saw a truck come up out of a dirt road about 1/2 mile North of where they were. They headed back for the timber. Won't have a chance to get out before Monday afternoon. My 4 A is right out of the side center of 157 A that is timber strips, heavy brush and tree areas and patches of CRP. Creek runs full length at an angle. Have had permission to hunt from the prior farm manager since I been here. Owner lives in Arizona, has a farm manager looking after the ground. He wants access across a strip of mine to get to a creek crossing without crossing 1/4 mile of theirs. Working on a Hunting lease trade. Then I can post and control who hunts on the property. Have 3 stand on it now that have been there for several years, 2 of which have mold growing on the straps.
What time you heading out? We had deer out early, in the corn. Nothing since. I'd imagine they'll move this evening. Sent from my SM-N900V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Debating this myself. I need to move my stand so I need time for that but with this wind chill I don't really want to go too early. This buck has consistently showed around 4 pm. I'd like to arrange a meeting with him and a broadhead. That much I know. Probably head in a little before 3. Sent from my SM-G935V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
