Cold front moving in tonight. Looks like it’s gonna be down right cold through the weekend! I’ll be out tomorrow afternoon in hopes of catching them on their feet in the daylight.

I'm up and sitting here in the kitchen having a cup of coffee and waiting to walk down to the stand. I woke up at 2:30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. It's supposed to storm starting at 5:45 and keep going until around 8:00. If it slows to a drizzle or light rain then from 8:00 to 10 should produce some movement.

I'll head out soon. I prefer to get there at least 45 minutes before light, but I'll head down soon so I can beat the heavy rain and get climbed up and seated under my umbrella before the deluge begins.

Good luck to anyone else going out today!

Hunting with a broken foot in the pouring rain. You need help, dude, but not until after you get another deer. Good luck!

I've been sitting here for about 45 minutes in the dark with lightning flashing all around me but not close.

    No heavy rain yet.

The pucker factor is only at about a 3 at this point. :)

Okay, it's pouring now. This is what an old friend of mine would have called a real turd floater.

Live from the Desk!! Good Luck, Chief!! "Try" to stay dry and definitely take care of that foot.
I'll be out this afternoon. It's cloudy all day with clearing after sunset. Hoping for movement. Solunar chart is coming back to evening movement times. Everyone be careful out there, and Good Luck!!! I'll check in throughout the day but will be on this afternoon for sure!!!

    Merry Christmas!!!

The rain has stopped and it feels very "deery" out here right now.

I love that "deer" feeling when everything just feels good. Good luck to everyone hunting. Season is over here. Going to head out to shuffle cams around and take inventory of what has survived the purging.

Nothing moving except squirrels. I'm ready to get down but now the rain is coming down steady and at a good rate. I'm dry and warm under this umbrella but that'll change as soon as I start down. I guess I'll put this new rain gear to the test because I have to move really slow.

I'm chomping at the bit to get out this afternoon. Chief, you're a trooper, sir. Good luck y'all. I'm hoping I'll see some movement plus that 9 point is still cruising. I found a fresh scrape yesterday! Crazy.

Well, I made it down the tree and back uphill to the house without any problems. I took my boots and rain gear off in the garage and carefully walked into the house and my Great Pyrenees ran to me and promptly stepped right on top of my left foot where it's broken. After the pain subsided it took me another 5 minutes to get her to stop cowering. I guess when I yelled out in pain I it was loud enough to scare the crap out of her. Poor girl. She knew she had hurt me and wouldn't stop whining.

I will see your broken foot and raise you a neutering. Ice packs and the couch for me for the next few days. Six injections of anesthesia and I still felt most of it. I will be live from the couch with strange painkiller induced posts.

Yeah buddy! Remember my snipping like it was this morning! Ugh. Not pleasant in the least. Doc started cutting BEFORE the anesthetic took effect. Smh. Take it easy man.

    :lol::lol:

I almost hate to say it but I actually built a landscaping timber swing while I was off work to heal after my vasectomy.

I don't do "down time" very well.
