I only saw one doe and she came out right as I climbed into the stand. Didnt even get a chance to pull my crossbow up, literally just stepped onto the platform and boom 40 yards away and moving. Couldnt get my bow up fast enough. Shawn Jennings ProGold Easton FMJ 339 grains NAP Spitfire DoubleCross 100 grains 2017 Team 3 Shed Hunting 2017 Team 6 Turkey Hunting 2017 Team 5 Deer Hunting
The weather is looking good towards the end of the week. I'm heading out to "brush-in" a stand at my in-laws. Good Luck everyone! Sent from my SM-N900V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Doe and fawn came in. Spooked by coyote. Leaning away from tree and squatting was my only shot on dog....Just under at 32 yards. First filmed shot is a miss....SUCK!
Between my foot and the rain I had decided not to go out this morning. While my foot hurts pretty bad, it's not as bad as I expected. The rain stopped so I'm up in a tree again.
Good luck today guys! Also congrats on the deer last night, love seeing the blood trails in the snow!

Once again I didn't see a deer, but that's okay. The traffic through my home spot is intermittent at best. I've been sitting down there this weekend with my 45/70, but I've decided that from this point forward I will just take my bow. I still had three bloody arrows to clean up and sharpen the blades on, so I did that. Then I decided to shoot a couple of shots with my bow. I shot three at 20 yards and they were about 5 inches high. I got worried thinking maybe I'd bumped something off, so I took my little block target to my driveway, got my rangefinder and allen wrench set and marked off 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 yards. I relaxed and shot the 20 yard shot. Perfect. I guess I was just cold and rusty. Once I relaxed it all fell into place. All of the arrows except the 40 yard shot were smacked up against each other. I think I'm good.

Congrats on the doe Westfinger! I would love to track a deer in the snow like that someday. We’re lucky to get snow 2 or 3 times a year and usually in Jan. or Feb.
Headed out to hunt for the first time in over 2 Weeks. Weather feels right so we’ll see what happens. Something needs to die tonight!
Need some help. Shot a buck this evening. Ranged him at 37 yards. Used my 35 yard pin but can't remember exactly where it was when the shot broke. The shot looked low in flight but the deer dropped and it appeared to be a heart shot right behind the shoulder. Found the hair and skin at the point of impact. Followed the blood/tracks about 100 yards. It was sprinkling off and on with heavier rain in the forecast. I backed out to give time and get a better light. Also found my arrow perfectly clean.
