Out grabbing some food then back in a couple hrs. Only 1 doe, the black squirrel and the fox squirrel. Pretty cool to see them both at the same time.
Worked a new crock pot concoction. Add about 1.5 lbs of meat, large family sized can of mushroom soup, and 4 pieces of bacon. Cook 6 hrs, then add another can of mushroom soup and cook 1 hour. Man it is good.
Well, I'm back home now after striking out in Kentucky this weekend. I did get up and hunt this morning. I got on stand 30 minutes before light. It was 20 degrees and the wind chill was 10 degrees. Between hand/body warmers in my pockets and the kidney pockets in my jacket, toast-i-toes on my feet and on my thighs I was probably wearing $15 worth of Hot Hands merchandise and I still froze my butt off without seeing a deer the entire sit. Still, just seeing that big one yesterday made the trip worthwhile. The high today is supposed to be 50 and the high tomorrow is supposed to be 60. Figures. I may hunt the mornings here at home the next couple of weekends and I'm planning on a four to six day hunt on New Years weekend (not sure where) and that'll wrap it up for the season.
Wind is swirling back and forth but I'm gonna stay put. I have some tinks out so maybe that will help combat what the wind is doing Sent from my SM-G920P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
When you hunt high fenced deer you need to put the fence low enough to where they can’t cross under it. Lol. Looks like a good setup. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Headed to the stand. Good Luck everyone! Sent from my SM-N900V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Last night was incredible. I sat with my son and we saw about 70 deer and over 20 were bucks. There were a couple studs but just two far. The kid passed a couple really good 3 1/2 year olds with the two biggest lower 140's.
