Saw the big 9 point with a doe but never got a shot opportunity. I saw another buck at about 100 yards that looked massive. I'm still trying to figure out if I actually saw what I think I saw. So another stand relocation and maybe tomorrow I'll find out.

Very eventful evening. 7 does total all within 35yds. Had another doe run in from behind me. Didnt hear her until she was 20 yds away. And a buck was hot on her tail. She spotted me turned and trotted off. I drew on the buck but he never gave me a clean shot.

Well, the only deer I saw was the big one, but I'm not disappointed. That was a great encounter.

He was the biggest buck I've ever seen from the stand and I could have killed him easily.

Saw one doe about 70 yards away with 10 minutes of light left. Never came close enough for a shot. Hard to believe the movement wasn’t better with the temp dropping tonight.

Well guys I haven’t been out in a week, went out this morning and saw 7 does unfortunately I didn’t have any doe tags for this county left. Went back out this afternoon in the snow and right at last light had a buck come in. The angle he came in at made it appear that he had 3 points on one side making him legal, unfortunately when I got up to him he only had two on each side, got him gutted and tagged called the game commission and am currently waiting for them to contact me about dropping the deer off. So upset with myself, last 10 minutes of our rifle season, thought for sure he was legal, he has a massive body, if someone could have seen me trying to get him into the back of my truck by myself they would have gotten a good laugh out of it. Still can’t believe I made this poor of a mistake, very upset with myself but here are the pictures of him. Neck was thick as could be and his tarsal glands are pitch black, this buck was rutted up like crazy [IMG]

I was sitting on a fence line facing north. The wind was out of the northwest at about 15 mph.

To the south was woods that are part of a cattle pasture. To my west 35 yards away was a small field and to my east was thick cover.

I had been scanning the field for a minute or two. When I glanced back in front of me I saw him walking west towards the field 50 yards away. I hadn't heard him because of the wind. I had my TC Encore with me so it would have been too easy. He stopped at the field edge and scanned it before walking out.

The first thing that I saw was the body and it was huge. Then I saw the antlers. He was a big 10 point. I never did get a look at the brow times, but I'd guess his G2s at around 12 to 13 inches, the G3s at around 10" and the G4s at close to 6" and he looked pretty symmetrical.

When he walked into the field he turned away from me and I saw how wide he was. I'd guess about 20 to 22 inches - way outside the ears.

He was definitely The biggest live buck I've ever seen with my own eyes.

Reading up on it it’s a 25 dollar restitution fee and you get another tag, safe to say I will not be using that tag.

Great deer. Too bad he doesn't have 3 on one side. What's the penalty?

Probably the biggest body deer I’ve ever shot, 25 dollar fine is what I’ve read

Sounds nice and easy. I'll have to try that if this new recipe I got doesn't turn out good.
