    The shot was back a bit. He was 10 yards quartering away. I'm thinking liver and maybe off side lung.

    He ran into some thick cover 50 yards away, stood there for 10 minutes wagging his tail like the one in Missouri and then bedded down.

    I can see him and I believe he's dead but I'm not gonna make a sound for a while.

    I thought about trying to get another arrow in him and almost started to draw but I was afraid that if I missed or made a bad follow up shot he'd take off. When he bedded down I just decided to wait it out.

    Think I made the right call there.

    It's 40 degrees here right now. I'm gonna sit until 8:30 or 9:00.

    Does generally move through at around 8:30. I'd take one of them too.

    Heading out in a bit to do a little Sunday scouting. Ive had two trail cams out for a month in an area. Develop a game plan once I see who is still around since the guns started two weeks ago.
