Saw 4 doe this morning and a little fork horn. 2 of the doe were at about 20 yards and got a pass. The buck ended up bedding down about 30 yards from me for like 20 minutes. Was kinda neat but was hard to stay motionless for that long.

I am freakin’ pissed. Came out hunt for the first time in almost a month and my stand is gone! Lifeline and gear hook are still in the tree but the stand is gone.

Ranch manager is going to meet my later to see if one of the ranch hands accidentally took it down by mistake but he doesn’t think so.

I'll give it a shot. Dropped her at the processor and because of wind direction, I'm right back in the same spot.
I had to put up a little hang on stand here in October because the ladder stand I put up 15 years ago, finally fell apart.
I've killed a bunch of deer in this little patch, including my biggest buck.
    It's a wicked spot

IMG_3508.JPG Killed a few wood ducks this morning now it time to get serious about the starting of the rut here in BAMA. Its hot 68 deg with no wind scrapes are popping up all over our food plots. Sitting over about 1/4 acre plot surrounded by cut over and pine plantation. My view

Well, I am sitting in my ground blind since my stand was gone. Hopefully, I will get a chance from here. Haven’t hunted i. Almost a month because has been hectic and crappy since then. Treestand being gone isn’t adding any fun.

That's cool how areas are just starting the rut. Seems like an eternity ago here. Good luck. Enjoy it.

The lease I'm hunting today will really start to heat up in a couple of weeks. And our farm in the next county over normally the ruts starts around the middle of January. It's kinda nice almost like hunting two ruts.

    Tip of the day:
I've been sick as a dog out here. This morning I had snot flowing out of my nose like a faucet, it was awesome.
But if you have to clear your nostril, close the other one and blast it out in a 3 shot burst and Bam, you disguise it as a snort wheeze.
    You're welcome
