Even though there aren't any big bucks here at home I want in on this too. Looks like I'll be taking my bow out this weekend instead of my gun. Any buck and not the first one taken from this point forward?
This is one of my main reasons that I love hunting late season. So many people have thrown in the towel and don't want to do the work required to get on to a big buck.
One thing about a million hours on stand, I'm starting to hallucinate. I swear that stump on the field edge is a deer. Hasn't moved in a couple weeks, but I'm sure it is.

Count me in for late season! We have until the end of January so now the work begins. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Maybe one of the three prizes should be a BHOD hat. This years winner passes it on to next years winner....maybe start a tradition.
If we're gonna pass it on from person to person maybe a trophy of some sort, like this one I got for "owning" Tony in the buck contest a few years ago.
I like that idea! So lets define the late season as of Friday December 1st to January 1st....just my thought
With rifle season and ice fishing I haven't hunted with my bow since the end of October... That changes next weekend (have a wedding this Saturday and have a NFL gameday party planned for Sunday).
