    Well I saw zero deer from the stand tonight. I did however see 3 doe leaving the property I was hunting. Slow afternoon.

    Teaching my son the value of a picked corn field, if there is one hunt it. We came up from the bottoms to find 8 deer in the picked corn.

    Took a little tumble on my way out tonight. In a tripod stand boot got caught on the bottom of the camo wrap getting down. Fell back and I think I hit every rung of the ladder and then planet earth. Knocked my head against a stump. Laid there for awhile wondering what the hell just happened. I think I'm alright, pretty banged up and sore but nothing serious. Be careful out there everyone. Always, but especially towards the end of the season when you're already beat up and fatigued.

    My friend and I seen 3 does but we could only shoot bucks. And of course as we are leaving a Huge 8 pointer was feeding at the edge of a field.

    All packed up and ready for an all day sit tomorrow. Going early. Shooting light is at 7:03, hope to be on stand a little after 5. I want to beat any and everything on its way back home. Sitting same stand as the other day. The bedding area is a SE corner of a ridge. Has good morning light. I’m hoping they’re looking for a warm spot.
