I'm in the stand now. As I'm walking across part of the bean field that has been cut I noticed a doe standing there. She was way more concerned about the little black cat that was coming through the cut btw fields. I got within 15 yds of her. Got my bow off my shoulder, nocked an arrow, got my release, put it on the string, now there is no turning back, drew the bow, and the rest is hamburger.
Great morning, so far! That was definitely a first for me!

Ugh finally got in stand, couldn't find my tree I wanted to climb so I "snuck" around for almost 20 minutes before I found it then it was to big for my climber so I had to find another one.

Got set up about 5 minutes before legal light,I'll be lucky if I see a deer this sit.

Just had 2 does and a piebald fawn come by. Almost all white, really cool looking deer. All to far for a shot

I almost hit a giant 8pt on the way to work at 4am. His nose was on the ground and he was cruising hard. His g2’s were amazing.

Just had a big 8 point come running in chasing 2 does and grunting! Closest he got was 40 yards!

    Good luck today gentlemen!!

Without thinking of my hunting priorities, I volunteered my skills to make a small christmasthemed model railroad for my wife's work. She is a Activities director at an assisted living facility. I'm a volunteer there. I really like hanging with the old peeps! Alot of true heroes WWII vets, a few of them had two jumps with th 101st during ww2, pretty amazing! One of them was one of the guys to get to go into hitler's eagle nest!!

Going out this evening. Woke up at 3 this morning with a head cold - took some meds and back to bed. More meds now and heading out to replace a couple rotted boards on the lower band on the machine shed. Clear sky and no wind so need to take advantage of it. Going to be warm - upper 60's. Unreal.
