I did t see a single deer this afternoon and that really was surprising. Tomorrow will be better.

I'm in my camper now drinking a few beers and watching Lonesome Dove.

This is going to be a great weekend.

"Big farmer" that's funny. I'm a little farmer, I just have a lot of little fields on farms all around my home area. 600+ acres doesn't amount to much compared to the BTO's (big time operators) around these days. One local guy here farms something over 10,000 acres and employs a dozen guys or so. But yeah, it's a lifestyle of it's own for sure. Kind of demands that you do a little of everything it seems. Sometimes it sucks, sometimes it's one of the most rewarding things going.

Yeah there are some amazingly huge producers around over the country. I don't know of any over 10K here but I'm pretty much happy living under a rock so it's no surprise. Seems like kind of the average large producer here is around 2500 acres but some are family farms that if you actually combined the family total they'd be 7500-10K acres total across several households.

Saw quite a few deer on my drive-in, I hate when that happens, leads me to believe that by the time daylight rolls around there going to be bedded down.
