It only makes you better prepared for the next one. It will linger and you'll think bout it next season as well. I lost a doe myself end of October this year. Never a good feeling, but recovering them helps. Was a lot of single lung hits this year that were not recovered. Unusually high it seems, can't ever remember another season on here with so many. Usually it is shoulder hits. It's really made me think things through, and with my doe in the back of my mind I caught myself last second, hugging tight to the front leg on my buck. Moved back a few inches and let it loose.
Ya this experience will make me grow as a hunter. I'm just thankful for the outcome and that I was able to find him quickly and the meat should still be good. The trophy is ice but when I take somethings life away I want to be able to use everything I can. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

It was frustrating. I was solo on the track job since everyone else is working. I was updating here and texting friends along the way. Probably would have found him sooner but I didn't want you guys coming after me with pitch forks! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
