Rest of the story is he came flying in from my blindspot. Got to 6 feet from me. Almost jumped the sticker bush to kill me. Then he did a 180 and vanished. Never had a chance to grab my bow. He came in during my rattling sequence. It was crazy. My life's to valuable so I headed to the house and grabbing the lone wolf and getting above these psycho deer. Headed back out in 25 minutes Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I was within 10 yards of 4 different deer and nothing is dead. Why couldnt the big boy do what the other 3 did? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Ok guys I’m heading back out tomorrow after the buck I️ saw on Friday. Need some help with my entry route. The large pin is the flat overlooking the creek where I️ want to go. The blue out in the point is where he beds and hangs out. Route 1 is approximately 1.5 miles and runs along basically the whole soybean field. Route 2 is shorter (I️ could park along the road and cut through the beans/woods along the property line). Which route would you take? The yellow arrow is the wind predicted for tomorrow. Black line is the property line. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’m not sure why “I️” is being replaced by “A ?” Sorry about that. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I havnt been able to get out for a week feel like i havnt been out in months. Tonight should be good lots of bucks moving and lots of deer hitting the ground on the forum which is what i like to see.

Hahaha i wish i would have arrowed him. That would have been a great mount to tell the story about it. Yesterday morning and this morning i have seen a combined 20 deer and passed on 7. Just need a good one to make a mistake. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
@smctitan I don't see any benefit to route 1 especially given the wind direction. Depends on how quietly you can enter on second route and if the terrain hides you at all, but that is the one I would chose if it were me. Of course... I'm in an office and giving my .02. Best of luck!
If he is worth the hassle I would do my best to stay out of line of site. Entry 1 also takes scent into consideration, as he smells you then sees you. I'd prefer something more along the blue lines. 1 eould likely become 2 miles and 2 would be a bit longer but less visible
The black lines are the property lines so your routes wouldn’t work. I’m in agreement with you though, if I could get in that way, I would. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Forgot to say that the bottom left corner where route 1 begins is a spot where we usually park. From there to the point where he hangs out is over 1000 yards in a straight line. Plus the beans are still up. Does that change anything? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I didn't read very thoroughly thought you were going out tonight. Morning or evening sit? Darkness would help especially with moonphase.
