Yesterday afternoon was going to be my last day to bow hunt before gun season opens Wednesday, BUT I saw a real nice buck chasing a doe. I was supposed to bring a dinning table I made up north for my sister today after school (I'm a HS math teacher). SO, I called my sister to see if she'd be able to meet late last night - she said yes. She didn't get home until 1.30 in the morning. NOW I get to go hunting after work today. Hopefully that doe will bring that nice buck back around. IF I get a shot at him, she deserves some credit. PS - my first hour class and I watched a 1.5 yo 8 point work with his nose to ground behind the school this morning. I've seen him at least 4 times in the past 3 weeks. PPS - my classroom has 20 feet of ceiling to floor windows and looks out over a lake that is 120 yards away - beautiful.
Deer are funny.. 2 does and 2 fawns come by.. the 1st doe sees the decoy and almost has a heart attack. So the others are spooked but not freaking out.. stomping around and looking at it.. the 1st doe comes back stands there then blows and runs.. the rest just keep looking.. the 1st doe comes walking back up.. blows and runs.. the rest just keep looking. She done this 5 times, like come on guys.. let's go... ****.... come on guys let's go. Lol Sent from my SM-G935U using Tapatalk
Ok, haven't got the pic yet but my brother-in-law who is with me here in Ohio said he just shot one of the biggest bucks he's ever shot, and he's shot some good ones, and it's laying dead within sight. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Think it could be the one in your trail cam pic? I'm sure he has seen it so probably would have mentioned it, yet, in that moment deer don't look the same lol. Edit, seen pic hell of a buck! Congrats to him, you're up next
Just passed a goofy looking buck. 7-8 points, rack went like straight up. Tempting , but hoping for something older/better, he lives on.
Sitting on the ground again this morning. Up a hillside over looking creek bottom. Rattled in 4 so far. One fork, a tempting 6 point, a small 7 and a freaking stud stepped out 150 yards away and meandered off Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
