Well yesterday was a first. Got permission from a random stranger to hunt while in my camo. Her response was "yeah, shoot them all, and come in to warm up or eat if you want"

I had one too, was complaining in the "Live from the stand thread" all morning long. Had switched stands multiple times. Said I was switching gears, made one last stand change and about 5 minutes on stand this guy cruised through.

Well I just got caught with my pants down, literally. Got down for a number 2 and while I’m squatted I look to my right and see a buck at 15yds. He then walks 10yds behind my stand. I’m so glad it was only a spike.

Won’t be getting out this weekend. My wife gave me her cold. Between not feeling well and church/Family obligations today, not going to make it. Which is too bad because today marks the 1 year anniversary of my first archery buck. I would have loved to be in a stand this weekend.

You just reminded me of a dream I had last night, true story .
A coyote was coming my way I put an arrow into it , frontal shot. when I walked up to it it was a bulldog wearing a collar and a leash :jaw:

I hunted every day from Oct 30th to Nov 11th. I only saw one doe with a half hearted buck following. That is wild. I saw like 12 to 15 bucks and only one doe over that same time period. That is really bizarre to me.

I saw one doe being chased by a buck and every other doe this weekend has been with other does or with its fawns.
The bucks I am seeing aren’t really out cruising either.
Haven’t had anything respond to calling or rattling. Do I agree Brett really strange

I am in the boat Pitman! Saw 1 small buck about 100 to 120 yards away just kind of grazing in the middle of a hayfield? Shouldn't he be doing something else right about now????
