Most farmers struggle to make ends meet. They work long hours and work when the weather permits. This year grain prices are below input cost. Many farmers have waited longer than normal to harvest because they can't afford to pay a fee to dry this year. If you're questioning why a farmer is doing something, it's probably because they have too.

My set up is equivalent to a 5 year fishing for a pier with a mickey mouse fishing pole.

This is one of those sits that feels like late December. Cold. Eerily quiet. So quiet you can actually think......

Haven't seen anything yet this afternoon. But it's a whole lot more bearable weather wise than it was this morning. C'mon ohio, be good to this out of state hunter tonight!

Just caught up to the thread, congrats CLS, and I am sorry to hear adam. The blood looked so good too, I feel for ya big time. loosing him to some uptight neighbor really sucks.

Quick update myself, had every type of deer under the stand imaginable today except a mature doe, which is all I can shoot right now(besides a fawn) Saw Mr. 8 point again, it looks like he got hurt pretty bad in a fight with another buck (pics in our team thread) If he survives this rifle season after already being shot, stabbed in the throat and run all over kingdom come by the neighbors hounds, then I think I am going to have to step up my firepower for next year. Maybe something like this [IMG] :)
