Uhh it’s not good you guys, trailed over 600 yards so far, he’s been staying on a pretty straight line. He never bedded, never found any arrow, I️ got to a spot where I️ lost blood, I️ have blood in 3 different spots not sure which way he went. According to the guy we lease from he says the owner won’t allow a tracking dog.... what an Ahole. I️ pulled out need to get some coffee and food then going to try walking out those three trails again then probably start a body search..... here’s the blood I️ was following Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I know one thing.. it sounds impossible... But if that thing stepped out, I bet I could somehow, someway manage to shoot myself in the leg with a compound bow.
Keep your head up brother! Stay positive, read group recharge then go back in there and you’ll find his dead ass! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wouldn't believe my eyes would be shaking....miss with my arrow but in my head know I had to hit it....then see no blood and would know it was a ghost lol
Keep your head up man. Seriously disappointing they won't allow a tracking dog. That makes 0 sense to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would wait until tomorrow before looking again. I single-lunged my buck a few weeks ago. He was still alice 35 hours after the shot. Not trying to be a downer, but it may take longer than you think it will. Maybe call a game officer to see if there is some law that would force the landowner to allow a tracking dog under the circumstances. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I single high lunged a buck several years ago and he ran 700 yards on a straight line and dropped... it was through a field with zero blood but I just walked in the direction he ran and I saw the arrow sticking up in the grass from a distance and it was him... dead.... 700 hundred yards on a dead run until he died... this may be the case.... This is as good a post as any to get this started! How about a roll call for our vets and maybe service? I will start it! SGCableguy. US Navy 1988- 1992 Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
If he didn’t bed, he may have been on a death run like mine was Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
There should be a thread on here for people that could use a hand tracking.. sometimes friends/family cant make it, some poeple dont have friends or family that hunt or are willing ect.. I for one would have no problem going and doing what I could to help someone on here if they were close enough and I could. I think a lot of people on here would do the same.
