Arrow didn’t hit any limbs, it’s a wide open shot there

Finally made it into the woods and sat this afternoon.
Saw 7 deer but no antlers.
    Back at it tomorrow.
    Best of luck to all!

    Punctured the esophagus?

Just running through possibilities not arguing. Until he's recovered we're all just putting input out there and different scenarios.

    Hopefully we get the answers

To me it looks like it hit high, above the shoulder. I think just below the spine and above the scapula. Can't watch the lighted nock, it give false info. I see a dark spot lower on the shoulder, but think it's a shadow from something else. I would agree a dead deer, but might be a body search.

Then you got a lot more than 6 inches of penetration.

Ok i dont see it getting turned off from impact, i mean it could be possible, but i know most of mine i have to pry up to turn off... but again not an impossibility.... that nock disappears from view for some reason though...

It was 20 degrees this morning, glad it didn't get to 17 as forecast. One thing i wish I had today was a neck gator. My facemask just wasn't enough to seal the back of my neck. Just now thawing out
