I'll be back in the stand Sunday and Monday. In the ground blind Saturday with our 10 year old.
Heading to drop the buck off at the taxidermist tomorrow.

Taxidermist said he didn't do scrawny pukes like that. You'd better bring it down here and I'll take it off your hands, you don't even have to pay me to take it. Now that's a pal for ya.

Try to find blood first, and take it slow. Glass ahead of the path you are taking if you can...it is a fatal shot it just takes time. You could very well walk up on a buck that is still alive. The creek is a definite possibility on place to look.

Hope so, took your advice and took off. Sooo you'll recoup wages right? Hahaha

Seriously tho, we're taking tomorrow off anyway.

Also..... congratulations Joe, way to go man. Sucks when bad shots happen but looks like didn't take long to find him. Been finishing concrete all day and just got done and all caught up on here.

Didn't see part about blood gushing out till after posted that. Definitely, kinda funny the job we're on now is for a guy that works for whitetail properties and one of their clients made about the same shot with same result. Can definitely work well if catch right spot.

Hardest Wake up yet. It's cold and I shut off like 6 alarms. But I'm up. It's November.

Cold and crisp, Going to try a brand new stand I hung specifically for this wind and to catch a cruising buck. Seen the biggest buck of the year last night about 90 yards out crossing a wrp field. Big boys are definitely getting bolder as the almighty testosterone and estrogen is climbing a frantic pace.
    Good luck guys and gals!
