LOL no definitely not. It was like I was hunting in a completely different area today. Got blown at while I was setting up in the dark and jumped two does when I was walking to get the game cart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why .... uh...... why did you shoot him in the ass??? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Lol!! He was 15 yards broadside, walking, I stopped him, while squeezing the trigger he Started walking again. and that’s how I shot him in the ass. I really did not want to post that I just shot a deer in the ass Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am glad to hear it was a clean kill, he probably would have gone farther if you had hit him where you wanted to. My first deer was a screwed up shot like that. 20 yards perfectly broadside and somehow I managed to hit her in the neck. It passed right through her jugular/carotid artery and she made it 15 yards before tipping over dead. I always joke that "it was a horrible shot, in fact its the best worst shot I've ever made!"
I really hope that the BHOD team considers this idea. Persistence pays off... Joe sharing his story and showing the "never give up" mentality would be excellent for the show. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When you say very little blood how much are you talking? Seems most paunch shots really have no blood, maybe some liver?
I guess at your age her views don’t really matter lol just a few other things Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hey guys! I just realized my doe down post didn't post! Ha ha. Crazy afternoon! I shot a decent sized doe around 1:45. The same time I am shooting the doe, I start getting e-mails from work. I made a bad shot on the doe, crushed her left shoulder and also her right. I heard her crash so I decided to go check my arrow. Arrow broke and no blood? I knew exactly where she went, so i followed her to the ditch to find her struggling and trying to get up. Had to put another arrow in her and she bled out pretty quick after that. Anyways, doe down, so I have 1 more day to put down a buck before the invasion starts Saturday! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
That was the first time I had to shoot again. Didn't like it. I always want the cleanest, quickest kill possible like everyone here. Ended up breaking 2 arrows on this doe. Before this, never broke 1. Lots of firsts on this doe! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Sounds like you made the best of a bad situation and gave the doe the quickest way out that you could. It was better than watching her struggle in a ditch for hours.
