A still of the vid like cls said would help. In front of the back leg? Like gut shot? Gut shots are fatal but you need to let him sit for hours.. most of the time they bed right away.. most of the time you dont have much to track with a gut shot and for sure dont wanna bump him out of his bed.

Sounds like it could maybe be a paunch hit Mike. If it is id say 4-6 hours minimum.

And angle, quartering away enough isn't a bad entry point aside from field dressing

Good job Feb! And I'm rooting for you Mike on the buck recovery.

Since Oct 27th mature bucks have kicked my butt. I've had the most sightings ever in one season. 6 within 35 yds. Took one shot and missed. This morning one slips in at 10 yds directly behind my stand and I don't hear it at all bc of the rain and wet leaves. Draw my bow and he enters into cover. No ethical shot. 11th day in a row of hunting today at 0330 wake ups are starting to hammer my mind.

Only one option. Hunt again tomorrow morning. Let's go!

How long you have? Pressures should be rising throughout the day around here.

I'm optimistic as all get out!

Pretty sure I'm going to sit the same stand as yesterday. I'm liking that scrape, just hope he wasn't the obly one working it. It was staying fresh all week.

Don't need to run to walmart but gonna get my donuts and coffee like yesterday, hopefully sleep a little later than 2am. I'll probably put some estrous back out just because it didn't hurt anything.

Not a chance. I was trying to gdt the back off of it that morning so I couod replace the battery but couldn't get it off.

Set to the correct time and snapped the picture. Still on tht time and I ain't changing it.

Also got the insulated suit in the dryer. Low of 17 and high in the mid 30's. I wanna be comfy just in case it is a long sit.

I hate to be the party pooper, but my gut shot never bedded and we looked for 2 days. Could be because the arrow was still in him. We did recover him though.

Yeah, nothing is set in stone with deer. I would say the vast majority bed down tho.

I would agree Pit. I just wanted to throw that out so he isn't disappointed if he don't find a bed.
