    Well my fellow friends, I finally got an archery buck. I get to my tree stand around 1100, I check my camera on the way in, then I get to my hang on as I'm climbing and get in the stand, I see antlers. He is bedded 20 yards away, my bow is still on the ground, I slowly bring up my bow then i nock an arrow. I hear him get up take 2 steps and no longer looking at me. Enough time for me to get my 20 yard pin and release the arrow, went no more that 40 yards. Shortest hunt ever 2 minutes, I didn't even have time to tell you guys I was in the stand. Good luck everyone!! It still blowing my mind, in my stand for less than 2 minutes, but felt like a lifetime. 1st archery buck, 8 points. [​IMG]

    Congrats!

    I had a similar exoerience with my first and only public land buck/deer. Was shotgun but had gotten in stand was starting to update my hunt on anither site amd a buck was 50yds and closing. 12 minutes from truck to buck lol
