It is eerily quiet here. Ima be a basket case cuz I can hear every leaf rustled. Squirrel. Rabbit. Mouse at 30 yards. Only a 2 year old so I let him walk tho.

Had a small doe flag off upwind of me, I know I didn't spook her. Now have another doe 150 yds out feeding in the corn. Just had 2 rooster buzz me closer than any I saw out hunting the last few days.

Beautiful night here. What little wind there is is swirling like crazy. Not much to do about that.

Still at work, trying to finalize this portion of the project I got called back in for! I hope to be in a stand for the next 4 days. The orange army invades Saturday, but I am the only hunter on this property so it shouldn't cause too much ruckus!

I don't know that there is a booner running around, think I've legitmatelt seen one in my life and thay was several years ago about 1/4 mile from any stand I hunt.

It hurt telling the processor to skull cap it and go ahead and split the sternum. Will never happen again. Going to invest in a good sled or some sort of make shift fold up wagon for these circumstances.

    How long you there for?

As long he is none the wiser then you may get a second chance.

Cracks me up, posted this at 2:40am. Went to wal mart and their huntijg selection sucks anymore. Anyhow picked up several bottles of hunter specialties golden estrous, a gold bottle and a brown bottle that both said gold, and a big bittle of tinks. They didn't have code blue as that is what I bought then lost.

Anyhiw, I put out 2 wicks with the gold nd 2 with tinks. Not really aure if it did nything or not so I'll leave it as a it didn't hurt anything.

Anyhiw, what cracks me up is I git back to the truck nd loaded the buck up and was grabbing loose garment from the bed when I noticed a scent wick covered with dirt. Moved something else nd there was the bottle of code blue completely covered in mud. Guessing it fell out of my pocket and got ran over in the drive md someone found it after I left and put it in this morning leaving for work.

There's a lot more to the story, just teying to figure out how to tell it.

My buck was blind in one eye as well, but I shot him from the good side amd he nearly busted me moving with his blind eye.

    Crazy stuff
