Bout to head out myself in just a few, took tomorrow and Friday off so the next 3 days will be spent chasing the almighty buck. I have been every evening except Sunday for the last 2 weeks now.

Shot a buck early now I am ready for another.

I'm not sure I wanna head out, my feet were really cold last sat and it was only 30 degrees with no wind! Its supposed to be 17 degrees here with 10-20mph winds. Too bad I can't buy a new pair of toes...

There's got to be deer dropping in IL today. Am I the only one that was in stand? Any where in northwest half IL, SE IA, north half MO, Eastern KS.....

At the processor there was 2 mature bucks, a headless body and a skull cap already there. Probably 6 does as well.

Back in same stand as this morning. Great movement this morning in Illinois. I saw 7 bucks, 8 does and 1 coyote.

I think i'm going to sit tomorrow out, Friday is looking perfect again. Strong high pressure, cold temps and light winds. About a mirror image of today with more of an easterly wind. Favorable for a few stands

Yep, after that doe fawn scented me at first light she ran off but didn't blow. Was pretty confident she took anything else with her, stood up and let it fly 10 minutes before sunrise. Forgot to up by the pond on my way down.

Back in a tree in a different spot here in Missouri. I used my two archery tags but I bought an additional antlerless tag and headed out. I couldn't just sit in camp.

Just keep rubbing it in why don't ya. Should be hunting right now and I'm waiting on concrete.

Just saw your other post, sucks about the cape not being useable. Nice deer either way.

Talk about a rough day! It's been dead here. A few guys saw movement early but it had gone silent. Hope this means that things will happen this afternoon. Good day to catch up on sleep.

And truthfully, I think the cape could have been used now that I have looked at my wall pedestal downstairs. Maybe my taxi was confused and thought I wanted to use that side out.

Too late now either way, if I can't get another one down I'll just use a donated cape like I did for my 2013 buck last year.

Set up in a different part of the cornfield. This SW wind is not making it any easier. I can't remember a gun season where this field wasn't picked.

Wish I was walking to my stand right now. Hauling grain instead...
