Can you tell movement is slow? These does are fast asleep next to me. One more nap before taking a permanent one.

Thanks everyone, he's being processed and got done scoring him.

    148 6/8"

    To answer a few questions....

It was the watch as much as the weather. I've had that watch on for most of my kills, but the batteries have been dead for 2 years and didn't wear it last year. Went down stairs to grab an unopened stick of evercalm from 2 years ago and there was the watch.

And no, it is not up for 1 dollar lol.

The cape was ruined because I was lazy. Used my uncles polaris to go get him, the bed of it was loaded with a bunch of stiff and I didn't want to empty it all out so I grabbed a rope. I've tied deer to the back and elevated them high enough that the hide was burned on the rear quarter. Was worried about the rack binding up so left a bit more slack than normal. Guessing the rope stretched or something. Really aggravated me when I got him in the bed of truck. I've never been that stupid and I'm kicking myself for it.

There was no complaining for me today, regardless of what happened it was ideal weather and if it didn't happen its because I picked the wrong stand.

My post this morning on facebook was

I like to use these two links

Short term, 12Z is 6am CST 0Z is 6pm can figure out the rest. Toggle the times for 6 hour increments

    http://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/basicwx/basicwx_ndfd.php

For long term I use the same site but the Days 3-7. But be forewarned using anything past day 3 is a gamble. But its good for seeing the trends. Today was supposed to be tomorrow several days ago. Generally the first link will get you a good heads up

Power nap and food done. Taking the summit in to hang in another location. Had tons of sign there when I left this morning. Got a good feeling...

Once I shoot a buck that I want to get mounted at that point nothing touches the cape area. I'm sure you figured that out already. He will make an awesome mount.
