It’s only going to be me and the dogs won’t be coming out until I have nothing more then a grid search left. If I’m honest I don’t think there will be a blood trail. I think 1 of 2 things will happen, 1 he will survive or 2 he will die with internal bleeding. Based on the buck I seen as I was walking out I’m 95% sure that was him and he didn’t want to move fast at all so I’m thinking the arrow head is causing more damage as he is moving and that would explain him not moving fast or far and should lead to a dead deer. I also have 4 cameras on that property that have been catching him almost nightly and I will be checking them as I go past.

I didnt and dont mean to be a downer with my story earlier.. I hope your story has a much happier ending. I was just stating the similarities as it reminded me of my deer. It means absolutely nothing and your deer is most likely hit way different than mine was.

I will add to my story of the buck I shot in the shoulder. He had my arrow hanging out of him with a lighted nock and we were on blood that night when we seen it.. my dad and uncle stayed on last blood while I made a b line for the nock, I didnt go far when they hollered its moving.. I stopped and watched and sure enough he was walking off slowly. I thought there was no way a buck that big would let me get that close and not run like the wind. He ran like the wind the next day when I stumbled on him tho lol.

Not live but a good sit today saw a nice 10 hot on a doe with 4/6 pointers in tail (2 of them not sure points but they where 4 or 6) the saw another doe must not have been hot yet. 3 spikes 1 other 6 and a basket rack 8. Then between me and the truck was last deer I saw walked slow and grunted once in awhile got to with in 30 yards but to dark to tell doe or buck. Never spooked just trotted off into the CRP! Great hunt 90% of deer where in bow range the 10 would not stop for nothing. He was on a mission. Most of this happened from 1:45 to 2:30 then the basket rack and the one on the way out. Lots of fun though!

Ugh, woke up at 2am and couldn't fall back asleep.

Never did find the estrous that fell out of my pocket yesterday, even walked 3/4 the way back down to stand after looking on the way back up. Has to be between where I stopped and where I was going to put out a wick.

Since time is on my side this morning might as well stop at wal mart and pick up another bottle.

Checking weather, wind is calm and temp at 31 degrees already.

Still forecast to be 6mph and turning calm in the afternoon.

All my scouted areas on the military base are closed today for the third day in a row. Rough. Headed back to a place I've hunted for years but don't have any recent information.

These are the days we dream of as bowhunters. 35..north wind. Nov 8.

All set up in jersey waiting on light! Didn’t bump any deer off the field while walking in which is strange, hoping they have been bedded down all night and will be up and moving during the day!!! Good luck all
