At 31 I know all too well. Lmao

But come Dec. 16 I don’t have to know that feeling any longer as I’m getting married. She even let me avoid October and November months!

They were lurking in the shadows behind the brush laughing at what I smelled like.

What’s the % chance of you killing a buck in the next 5 days? And how/why?

    Ready! Go!

62% - Temps are going to be in the high 20’s come Thursday and Friday morning and things will have finally dried out around here. I think the mature boys will be up.

Do you have stabilizing straps for them? There is a company that sells them or you can make your own pretty easily. That and the footrest are the best additions I have. I ordered a new seat from cabelas this year and they sent me the deluxe wrap around seat, it’s not bad, has pockets for hand warmers, keeps your butt and thighs nice and toasty. But I don’t know If I would drop the extra money on it.

Had a spike cruise by nose to the ground while it was raining. Doe just fed by and bedded down 20 yards behind me. Still waiting for big boy. Seen 5 does, 2 yearnings 3 bucks and heard two grunting that I didn't see. Good day to be in a tree.

Third hand archery.com!! I would never go in a climber without them after using them. Makes the viper rock solid.

I sold my game plan gear tts on eBay for $150.00 plus $25 for shipping!

75%, first reason is you did not specify size of buck.

2nd reason only 5 days left in my vacation

And 3rd and most important reason, winds are finally going to lay down and will have a day or two of very favorable winds coming into the 9th-12th of November.

I still like my chances and am optimistic as ever, I just no better than to hunt down in the bottoms of numerous ridges when the winds are so high and gusting.

Regardless of what the calendar says until multiple does come in, which I don't think has happened yet in the woods I hunt, the deer aren't going to go where their nose tells them not to. In a few days the bucks will be stupid seeking, but the does always remain smart and vigilant. Right now we're depending on the does to bring us a buck. Can't find the does though.

We need to wait until the bucks become like us and start searching for the does they can't find.

It takes 15 seconds to change a hunt. Averaging 11 hours of legal shooting time a day, there is approximately 2,640 chances a day to have those 15 seconds happen or 13,200 over the next 5 days......

Buy or make some straps. Videos on YouTube or there’s a company that sells them for like 15 bucks...they really lock that top platform down so you can lean against if making a shot that calls for it. Really worth it in my opinion.

Thankfully I don’t have to worry about carrying in and out of the woods so much anymore. I just leave it out on my lease and move it from tree to tree when I feel like moving. But have left it in the same tree for the last 2 seasons just because it is a good spot. I just take my seat with me so it doesn’t get ate by squirrels.
