    I am counting down the hours in this work day. Good luck out there folks, and I'm going to join in tomorrow! I am tempted to sneak in to my stand after work, but I think it will be too late in the day to not spook something. I don't want to mess up that spot with 5 days of hunting in front of me. Maybe I'll run some arrows down range for some practice instead. Hope you guys have the best of luck the rest of the day.

    So close this morning. 3rd time I've hunted that area this season and I'm beginning to figure out the buck movements. Picked out another tree for the next time I go in. Saw two mature bucks withing 30 yds. Too thick to shoot.

    My landowner had a pretty good bit of logging done about 2 to 4 weeks ago. Will this mess with deer movement and push them elsewhere?

    Well all settled in for the afternoon. Had one of my target bucks come out last night about 20 minutes before dark to tend a scrape. I did everything I could to get him to come my way but he just wasn't interested. Giving that spot a rest tonight and instead sitting over a clover plot lined with scrapes in hopes of bucks coming out to check them especially with this mornings rain showers.
