Ok so I was wanting to move into a deeper area on my property for my sit this afternoon. Now I have to get my bow and make sure im still all sighted in so my question is do I push into a new unscouted area on the fly tonight, or stay in my spot since because I probably wont have enough time to scout and sit...thoughts?

First week I had some deer snorting like crazy and running around in a bottom for about 20 minutes all going on up wind of me so I was kinda wondering what has spooked these deer...... Things calmed down and got quiet when up from that bottom walked a Bobcat !!!!! Pretty sure that is what had the deer spooked.

Dude you need a shot of positivity. You’re a mess this morning. I don’t mean that in a negative way - it’s deer season it only happens 3 months out of the year or so - enjoy it while its here. We all got stuff going on in the deer woods to mess up our hunting - the wind is just act of God. If the deer are supposed to move in front of you they will.

    Good luck! Think positive!

Had a doe and year-long feed past then turn and feed up to about 15 yards. Heard grunting and had a big body deer come in and start chasing the doe. Couldn't even see a knot on its head at 15 yards. Wonder if it was a he/she deer. Hoping for something bigger to come by.

Still time to do some scouting. Could be the best decision you ever made.

Everyone just take a minute and think back to the last few days leading up to the start of the season. Remember how pumped we all were? Well it's here the time we waited all summer for! Stay positive! It'll be over before we know it!

I just walked out to change stands. Pulled my card and bam, had 2 deer in front of my camera 9 minutes before I passed this morning. Didn't hear anything get spooked but who knows???

Made a stand change myself this morning at 10 am. I usually can’t focus much past 11 - although I envy those that can. A hamburger, fries, beer and a quick nap before afternoon hunt call my name often when Im on Huntcation! Lol Surely I’m not the only one...

I hear ya, that post actually wasn't meant as negative. I could have shot him 3 different times, just have to chuckle when the wind blows every direction but the good one it is supposed to be

Just seeing that buck come out nose to the ground gave me all the positivity I need. I gave up a few hours this morning, but going by the hourlies it was probably a good thing. Wind was just as strong this morning.

Hunting this property the last 10 years has spoiled me a bit I guess.

2 does being chased by a 6 point. He came back and gave me a 12 yard broadside. Tempted but let him wAlk. Another doe and yearling feed by. Wind picking up and temperature is dropping. At least they are moving.

First rut activity of the week. Little 4 point scouring the area in search of the doe that smells. He was doing a grid search. Hoping that this is the beginning of something good.

No school on Monday!! So I have Thursday through Monday to get it done! Cold front passing through Thursday afternoon!! Coldest temps of the season (teens for lows) Friday and Saturday, plus the moon chart is calling for almost all activity to be during the day!!
