Late getting up the tree this morning. Forgot the climber at the house so had to make a return trip. Daylight before I got in here. Good luck to those who are lucky enough to be hunting this morning. Today is a deer or an all day sitting.
I'm a panzy and sat today out. Never thought a north wind was so horrible until the last 2 sits amd from here until the end of my vacation is nothing but north winds. Starting to think this isn't my year. I know it's hogwash to say such as it is November 7th, but trying not to take that attitude into the stand with me. When I woke up this morning at 3am, I wasn't excited to get back out, felt more like punishment so I went back to sleep. I'll have 5 days left, and truthfully not sure what I'm going to do. Take it to public land with only a glimmer of hope flying blind or eke it out where I'm hunting and try to switch it up or hope the switch turns on finally. Hard to believe how localized mocsment can be sometimes. Just feel like I am burning the woods and myself out hunting bad conditions.

I'm in the dilemma of deciding which days to take off based on the wind forecast. I need something in the W to N area for wind. I'm not getting any daytime movement on the cameras at all. I'm looking at taking off Monday of next week then that Thursday and Friday. Not sure. I do know it is a day to day decision. I don't have any buck tags again until Saturday.
Ugh, just opened up facebook and my aunt tagged me in a memory. Was 2 years ago when I shot a smaller 8 on the 7th. Last year I shot my big 12 on the 7th. Waiting to hear if anyone is hunting this morning. Going to hop in the shower, has to be a sign to get my ass in a tree. This is the one she actually told me.on facebook a buck was headed towards the bottoms. 8 minutes later out he came. Would be a pass this year until the weekend anyway.
Yes!!! With them tablets and the coffee I’m about to start drinking I think if a buck walks out I’m going to have a heart attack.
