Got this guy and Same again in the stand, just the wrong stand. The chase is all part of it and I got 5 day dedicated to it
I took my oldest boy and two of my 4H archery kids and their dad out tonight. My son saw seven deer, but they were all at 30 except one. He didn't feel like he had a clear enough lane to shoot through though, so he passed. The other kids and their dad all got cold with the 20 degree temps and came back to the truck at prime time. I had better luck with my shotgun, and my pup did her first blind retrieve, and brought the pheasant all the way to my hand for the first time. The geese were on a double, and they landed within 30 feet. It was a good afternoon.
Well I went on 3 blooodtrails in the last 2 days. 1/3 was successful. The other one was hit high and he couldn't give ANY details on what it was or what happened. He said it was between a 6pt and a 12pt and that he saw it lay down. It never bedded down, and we tracked it for 2.5 miles with pin drops. The other blood trail the guy said he didn't see any deer and I stumbled on the blood going to my stand that evening. I asked him and his story changed to he has shot at one and missed over it's back leg. Well apparently he didn't miss. And no, I am not kidding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
