I had no signal most days on my Pronghorn hunt. I was going to share my adventure live but here's a quick recap. Had to pack lots of water and food for the all day sits. Last day, it's now or never. Think the Antelope will come in for a drink with all the cows hanging around? The orange flag is flying! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Boy oh boy oh boy I love this thread!!! I get so depressed when the rut leaves us and normal life returns and this place isn't poppin. Can't wait to share another year with you all. Good luck to anyone out west chasing some goats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Congrats on the goat Westfinger! I did another all day stand. Well, except for the part where I climbed down and took a nap at the base of my tree. I must have been tired because I slept for two hours! :D No bears tried chewing on me, so that's good. Anyhow, early I had a bunch of does and fawns around me. Later two velvet bucks practically begged to be shot. I do have a buck deer tag, but they need at least another year's growth. Briefly saw the badger again. Then I saw my real target, a lone cow elk. However, she just cruised by. Never going to the waterhole and never presenting a shot. Later she came back (or another lone cow) she hung around for 40 minutes just eating and teasing me. 40 yards at the closest but no way for me to make that shot. Eventually, she just walked off. It was weird how nervous I got, it's been awhile since I've been that jittery. Right before dark I heard a bunch of chirps as a group of elk moved down the mountain a few hundred yards away. This last pic is of the two bucks, right before they walked over to me. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
I love this on x hunt app, helps a lot when you hunt and scout a couple different properties! Missed this thread!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Just connected on my first deer of the year. Unfortunately it was with the front end of my jeep, and not an arrow. Fortunately the radiator held enough coolant to get me to a buddies house, cuz I wasn't going to make the 30 mile drive home on it. Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk
More deer and the wrong kind of cow. Don't make fun of my hunting shoes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
