Good luck! I know how you feel. Shot one last Saturday that I didn’t recover until Monday morning. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’m just flat out disgusted with myself... that should have been a chip shot...why did I rush it... it’s gonna be a long night, and even longer day tomorrow... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I got a couple guys going out with me tomorrow, but if you wanted to make the drive I wouldn’t turn down the help. But hopefully we will get by with 3 or 4 of us that are going. Gotta get permission first as well... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I saw a legit monster this evening. Still on the quest for my first buck, 8 year in, in Ohio non the less. I was out hunting my normal field edge that I have access to, and around 5:30 I hit the horns, with some grunts and bleats mixed in. About 30 mins later, I hear something behind me, take a glance, and a big ol dude was behind me, roughly 30 yards away, in a neighboring property. He had to known something was up as the wind was in my face going in that direction. I tried grunting a few times, unable to coax him out of the timber into the field. He didn't run off, just kept on walking away..... Big 8-10, chocolate rack. He was a big boy I would say 150+, maybe bigger. No less than 10 mins later does come out into the field. In the back of my mind, I am thinking I should have had the decoy out tonight and maybe, I would finally have my hand on some antlers. These moments are why I love deer hunting. Doubt I will be out until maybe a day or two this week, and then out to a property that hasn't been hunted for 5 years or so for 2 or 3 days. Keep grinding fellas, it's November, who knows what will happen!
I'm awake somehow, but wow am I still inhebriated. Back to sleep for me. Good luck to the hunters and thd trackers this morning.

Sitting here watching it rain. Thunderstorms on the way. Hoping that clears out by this afternoon. Good Luck everyone
Half awake to check weather. Rain chance has dropped to 30% for just a couple hours this morning...maybe I will get lucky and find more blood. Gonna sleep a few more hours and gather some troops and head out.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On the road should be in the stand in about 45 min. Got thunderstorms from 8-3 but only up to 50%. Monday Tuesday and Wednesday are looking the best weather wise. Good luck everyone and especially those tracking deer.
I'm up and about to trek back down into the valley I hunt here in Missouri. There is no signal down there so no live from the stand posts. Yesterday I had a chance at a crazy wide 11 point. Didn't even know he was behind me until he coughed. Yeah, a big boy coughed and gave himself away. He came from a totally unexpected direction. I know that valley so well and couldn't believe he came from there. I thought he was going to walk the trail coming down the point and give me an 18 yard shot, but he turned and I didn't know the yardage. My stupid self had tucked my rangefinder inside my camo and my binoculars were in top. I guessed him at around 45 yards but didn't want to risk it so I fumbled my rangefinder out but it was too late. No shot. I'm glad I didn't shoot. He was at 33 yards When I guessed 45. The terrain can really screw up yardage estimates. I know I made the right call in not shooting. He had no idea I was there.
Almost had the 1st deer of the day. 3 does running across the road while I was doing 60mph. Had to do a full emergency stop. If it was a nice buck I might of hit the accelerator.
