    Oh man that was close.

15 minutes before legal light ended I saw what we call the "Junk Buck",he's a buck with a nice 4 point rack on one side and a giant spike in the other.

I saw him cruising about 200 yards so I grabbed my grunt call and called at him.

He instantly turned and started trotting straight towards me.

He was on a dead line for me tree at 80 yards and closing fast when I felt the wind swirl and hit my neck.
He stops and stands there for the next 10 minutes before turning and cutting out around me at 120 yards.

I'm shaking like a leaf in Irma right now.

Lots of action today on the Live thread, I love it. A few short days, it will be my turn. I've been getting my crap together all day. Amazing the amount of clothes and stuff I need for this "vacation". I'm exhausted already :eek2:
Good luck on the recoveries guys!

And it gets better, bought illuminated knocks for my crossbow, ended up buying the tenpoint shafts with knocks installed already. Ordered two 3 packs. Also picked up a tactacam just for reviewing footage and shots etc.

Went out tonight to test it in low light for the first time. Fired a shot and it flee weird and hit 4" high. Damn near missed the target amd eent through the fence.

Anyhow, pulled the arrow and examined it. One fletch was 3/4 off came off with a light pull. Looked at other two bolts, brand new and they had loose fletches as well.

Other box seems ok. Today could have went very wrong, maybe a reason behind me seeing nothing but a scrub.

This isn’t the buck I saw tonight, the one tonight was a little taller and had extremely white antlers, but if I would have been in NJ this morning he walked by my stand st maybe 30 yards

I just realized you're captain of team 15, we'rr coming for ya  Our teams are rolling along!

If I didn't have a few whiskeys in me already I'd be back out in the morning before the severe weather hits. I'll be back at it Monday. Having a few drinks with a friemd who's birthday is November 6th. I'm always hunting on vacation, I tell him to blame his parents not me

Hung over in a tree stand is the best. I've always said that.
