You know, that might have been the most miserable sit I've ever done. I got hot and sweaty going in and getting set up and I was on the west side of the woods. There was a hickory tree in front of me but enough sunlight filtered through that with a heat index of 92 and almost no breeze I never did cool down. I ended up seeing a total of four does/fawns and they never got closer than 100 yards.

Sounds like today for me. Glad I didn't sit tbh. Had some bad storms roll through right at prime time. I had to meet my daughter's new boyfriend before the homecoming dance. He needed to know who the dang pater familias is! Seemed like a nice dude. Hoping his dad has some good deer land. Lol. I'll be on stand in the morning with a good chance on a buck I think. Lots of bear in Zone 5. Its where the bulk of the bear tags are issued. I think Archery bear is Oct 10-15, only $2 tag.
