Some of you guys saying you are disappointed in the rut are seeing like 20 deer a day and some bucks moving. Goodness man. What more do you want, a buck just dropped into your lap dead? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Well done everyone that has been successful the last couple days. I caught up on sleep this morning with the rain. Will be out this afternoon. Calling for storms tomorrow but after that the weather looks ideal for the rest of the week so I’m just going to be patient. Good luck all it’s that time of year! Alright guys, I was trolling a bit with that cryptic message. Truth is he was quartering more than I thought. But I had already found him. Here he is Arrow passed through his midsection and broke through the opposite shoulder. A clean double lung that did not touch gut or liver, which kind of suprised me Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
He is a nice little 7 point, probably two years old. There was a much heavier 8 point he was Duking it out with, but i am extremely pleased with this one! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Not dead, and preferably not in my lap, just 20 or so yards out standing broadside...and at least 140”...gotta do better than last year... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Anyone else trying to get it done on the ground? I killed a decent 9 stalking it and have been hooked ever sense. That feeling you get in the tree when a deer shows up is maximized ten fold when u are face to face on the ground with no blind.
Just shot a nice 8 at 15 yards. Shot landed high up from the heart. Arrow was sticking out at least half so not great penetration. Good amount of blood from what I could see. Do you guys think that’s a dead deer? I watched him walk off slowly so I’m unsure. Waiting a few hours regardless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
