Was really hoping for midday movement with the current moon.

Might call it in a bit.

    So good news/bad news...

Just had a pretty good encounter with a nice buck chasing a doe hard. He was definitely all rutted up. Neck was huge..

    Bad news...
This was in west central Illinois, between Burnside and Laharpe... I don’t hunt in Illinois. And I had that encounter from a moving train...

I Won't be hunting tomorrow because I told my parents I'd take tomorrow off so I could watch my sisters while they show our house and because I have to go to my grandparents house to celebrate my little sisters Bday.

Crazy how thick it still is. Sitting a stand I can see pretty good watching for cruisers. I can't see more than 10 feet into the woods. Been times where I could see deep into the woods early rut. Going to be December before that happens.

Oddly, not a lot of scrapes yet either. Have seen a couple, but not as many as years past

Quick opinion question...wife is hinting she wants to go out with me tomorrow. Don’t have any 2 man stands up, and don’t have my blind out... better to just sit on the ground in natural cover, or try to brush in the blind and use it?
