    I 100% agree with that. Its just funny how many people think bucks get 100% stupid during the rut and not all of them do. Three years ago I took my wife opening day of gun and we watched a doe skirt around the edge of a field with a big ole buck following her.. 20-30 yrds inside the woods. He wasnt 100% stupid lol

    Back where I started. Wind was even worse in the bottoms. NE wind was coming in south to southwest.

    Think I had 17 sightings in the first 3 hours. Multiple shots on does, kinda regret not taking one now.

    Think I'm wasting my time sitting all day. Wind is fierce blowing pretty good. Needs to warm up a bit, I dressed for mid 50's later. Kinda cold right now :lol:

    Supposed to be 70 today. Went for a walk found a nice spot to set up on some does. They’re using that trail happily, and I have a nice ambush spot. I’ll be back out here next Friday to give it a shot. Tomorrow I hunting somewhere new and I can’t wait!

    First day of vacation, I don't go back until the 21st. Waiting on one of the 4 yr olds that are hanging around. In for lunch then back at it. With the forecast I think Monday will be one of the best days of the year here in central IL. 30 degree temp drop and hi pressure

    Guys I'm really enjoying fallowing along on yalls hunts looks like deer movement is picking up. I got some bad new my traveling hunting partner is not going to be able to make our public land Illinois trip that we were leaving for on November 7. Guess I'll be solo for my Illinois public land rut hunt..... CANT WAIT!
