Just had 4 does coming in downwind, steady breeze picked up and one started blowing, I know there was 4 because I counted their tails as they took off. Ugh, think I screwed the pooch choosing to sit here again.

Wow what a morning. 6 bucks so far (already filled my one buck tag) of course one was about 140 inches. Had him at 10yds.
As u posted earlier it was pouring out, I'm just about ready to leave and I take the garbage out thru basement and what do I have, a flooded mess in the basement garage. I take care of that before I leave , clear the drain and make sure water is flowing down drain. I finally figure out which stand to go to, and I'm off. I get a 1/2 mile down the road and a truck is in a ditch with two guys standing around( 65ish). So help them get out and on thier way. I retired from the Pa. State Police 10 months ago and I'm still stopping and helping people. So I get to my stand later than I thought,. I guess it's a mid day sit to dark?????? To boot it 55 degrees a far cry from 32 the other day
Had a little basket 6 or 8 come in after rattling. Shortly after 6 does, 2 groups of 3 came amd went. No bucks following
I now know that it is the rut for the squirrels. Peak breeding seems to occur roughly Nov 3rd at 8:40am. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
