Man o man that was fun. Was just sitting here and heard something walking towards me. Look that way and big doe and 2 little ones coming my way. Notice a fourth deer behind them but before could see what it was the 3 in front trot up to 15 yards from base of tree. Go to get up and the big doe is staring right at me, so look behind them and see antlers. She gets a whiff of something or makes me and takes off while one of the small ones goes directly under me and other toward field. Buck comes up and stops maybe 20 yards broadside. So there i sit with buck st 20 yards with bow hanging on hook. After while he heads off in direction of first doe, so I stand up and see another doe standing on edge of field. She turns and runs back into timber with another buck in hot pursuit grunting whole time he chases her. Spent the last 10-15 mins watching them chase doe's all around stand. Not 100% sure woulda shot the bigger of bucks but had I been able to stand and have my bow in hand woulda been hard not too. Since was seated tho even if coulda got my bow since shoot right handed there wasn't much of chance. Hard to twist around to where he was. Did snap few pics tho. You can see branches in pics but there woulda been clear shot to the good spot. I'm now standing with my bow in hand ha. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Yea it happened so quick, was waiting for opportunity to stand cause thought about waking the doe but she never went behind one of the trees that woulda gave me chance to. Happens that way sometimes. Not gonna lie, cold one would be alright ha Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Finally get a day off tomorrow to hunt. Rifle opener Saturday. Praying to the man above that I make it happen tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
getting pics of bucks like these is why I have no more desire to go out west and hunt. I can stay here and see great bucks without spending a fortune. western pa is getting a lot better. must be the ohio buck gene spilling over! lol this antler restriction is paying dividends now. its been worth the wait.
Ha yea, shoulda checked back sooner. It'd be while before made it in now. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
