Blue dot is me tonight and where I had that encounter last night. Photo is at 35yrds in rainy conditions.

Red night is where my buddy is and where he had a close encounter this morning with a different shooter.

We believe the buck is beded down between us plus whatever else is out here. I coulda got in closer but I ain’t targeting that buck if he comes great - if not we got others.

Things are heating up. Had to leave the woods to take care of some business. This guy was chasing a doe at 1115. Saw him on the way out, no shot but was fun to watch. Taking another four days off next week. Hate not being in the stand this afternoon but got to pay the bills too. Good luck to those who are hunting this afternoon. It was 77 degrees and windy.

Made it out to woods around 330, learned not to watch feet while walking across field. Looked up to see a coyote trotting away that was maybe 20 yards from me. Didn't have a stitch of wind all day but has been blowing ever since got out here. Temps have dropped alot too feels like. Just got caught up on here, couple nice bucks shot lasr couple days, congrats guys.

Also sounds like nobody puts cls (baby) in the corner. Ha

Perfect wind tonight. No deer so far.

Has anyone here tried taking a big thick segment of rope like this one, dousing it in whatever scent, and hanging it from a tree?

if it is hemp rope I think gene wencil uses those in his videos. they use them on mock scrapes instead of a licking branch.
