TC thanks for the advice on reading articles, LOL!! What part of the country do you hunt in? Have you ever hunted in the Northeast? Vermont, or Maine? The group of guys who I hunted with in Illinois are all from Vermont. They no longer hunt in Vermont at all and only hunt 5 to 6 days per year in Illinois. I’m not trying to be a ****** or anything, I’m basically just saying that You can’t kill what’s not there. Location location location...I am seriously contemplating only hunting for only three days next year somewhere out in the Midwest. It will end up costing the same as hunting here For a full season, but at least I will have a legitimate shot. If People seriously want it bad enough, they will make the necessary sacrifices to make it happen. I did until my stroke. Edit; please don’t take it as me whining or complaining, or a poor me. I hint in nw pa. I agree with your area. I had a friend that hunted the Adirondacks and he said there weren't many deer there either. If you ever want to hunt in pa I'll hook you up. Crap! Another 2.5yr old 8pt walking to me. Geez! Please just a doe is all I want!
Winds are up temps at 70 plus right now and going to 80 plus today but I'm out here because I can be. Interesting reading the last few pages. Some days I see deer. Some days I don't. I've had the same three point at 12 to 20 yards three times this week. enjoy the hunt and the experience, you see things while bow hunting that most people wouldn't even dream about. Ya it's nice to shoot one every once in a while but there is so much more to hunting. Just my two cents. Good luck to those who are lucky enough to be hunting this morning.
Spike just came and busted me in the stand, now he is blowing all over! Walked right into my scent stream, I must stink! Lol
My thoughts exactly, you get highs and lows in hunting, in PA I strickly hunt extremely pressured public land, that being said I can go a few sits without seeing a deer then I start to get discouraged Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
