Thats pretty neat! My Pops has rebuilt & added on to the model train set up he & my Grandpa started when my Dad was a kid. Dad is all in to looking at trains, reading & researching Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
Well after looking for several more hours using every ounce of experience and following all kinds of useful advice, the dilemma remains. No blood and no discernable direction. We circled. We grid searched. Check all the nearby creeks and water holes for a quarter mile. Even took some wild ass guesses and followed those out. Thanks for all the advice fellas. Foodplot, thank you for talking to me. I have some family obligations here in a bit but a friend of mine is going to see if his dog can pick up the trail around 530. It's all I got left to try. I must have hit this buck high. I'm now pretty pissed about this one. Sent from my SM-G935V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
What ever floats his boat...lol... I’ve just been around trains my whole life, 3rd generation railroader. Been riding trains with my dad since I could walk, and been working on them since I was 16, just turned 33. I love railroading most days, and I have a knack for it, but that’s as far as it goes for me. I get no thrill from trains other than my paycheck. It’s a great career but that’s all it is for me. Heading back out to stand looking for a buck. Halloween is one of my favorite days to hunt big boys on there feet.
Right out of high school. No kids, no commitments. Great place to start. Mid life, family, commitments, not a great place to start. Even just working for a smaller railroad like I do can be taxing on the personal life. It’s a different lifestyle for sure. Most place you start low on the totem pole and those first years can be rough. Between getting bumped to different places if you work for a bigger outfit like BNSF, or getting stuck on a ****ty shift at the smaller places like where I work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Last year I drilled a doe opening day.. I know she was drilled (maybe a little high but looked to be double lung) because I had it on film. The arrow stuck in the ground.. not much blood on it and we never found a drop of blood or her. Absolutely no clue why, but it happens.
Back out left at 1145 to get lunch. Been back since 310 pm. Let's get this started 38 deg West wind. 14 mph
